The deadline to nominate for the 2012 ACN Arab Technology Awards has been extended by two weeks, to give organisations and individuals additional time to participate in this prestigious event.
Nominations for the awards will now close on Wednesday 29th August 2012.

Strong contributions have already been received across all categories for the awards, but it was decided to keep the nominations open in recognition of the Holy Month of Ramadan and Eid holidays.
The 8th annual Arabian Computer News Arab Technology Awards is the must-attend IT event of the year for the regional technology community and recognises the outstanding work that has been carried out in the Middle East enterprise market over the past 12 months.
The awards, which will be presented at a gala dinner during GITEX Technology Week, recognize the region's leading ICT projects, vendors and individuals, and outstanding performance in the sector.

This year, 17 awards will be given, across categories including best projects in Public Sector, Banking & Finance, Hospitality & Tourism, Retail & Distribution, and Energy & Industry; awards for leading vendors in technology segments, and community awards for CIO of the year, IT department of the year, and Rising Star. The winners are selected by an independent panel of judges drawn from the IT sector.

For more details on how to nominate, please see the Awards Website.
